St Agnes Alumini Association

St. Agnes College is the first women’s college in the West Coast of India established in 1920. For the past 100 years with its expansive and multi-dimensional history, St. Agnes College has served the educational needs women of the city, state and country and contributed to the growth and development of a wide variety of citizens in every sphere of life, all over the globe.

Students who have gone out of the portals of their alma mater after their graduation have always returned to it with tremendous gratitude and joy to be part of the ever-widening vision of individual excellence and community development.

The motto of the college “God is our strength” has always beckoned them to re-shape the ecology of learning and scholarship in order to develop a more equitable and just society. Their desire to contribute to the education of the needly and the marginalized to pursue higher education, find employment opportunities and develop into full citizens of society has urged the college to expand the Agnesian Alumnae/i chapters in a vibrant manner.

The Agnesian Alumnae/i Association of St. Agnes College thus stands as a special bond of the enduring relationship between students and their alma mater. It continues to remain the major interface between the college and the world profoundly shaping and informing the continued enthusiasm with the Agnesians.

Purpose and Goals of the Association

To bring into fellowship among all the Agnesian Alumnae/i of St. Agnes College, Mangalore and to deepen in them the bond of togetherness
To share information with the Agnesian Alumnae/i of the developments of the college
To solicit support for ventures in the college especially for scholarships and sponsorships for the education of the needy and marginalized
To collaborate with the college in organizing academic and cultural festivals, seminars and workshops.
